As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM’s clients, analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client’s organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world. Your Role and Responsibilities The Cybersecurity Defense and Intelligence market and delivery leader will drive IBM Federal Security’s efforts to support critical elements of the DoD’s “Great Power Competition,” focusing on IBM’s leading cybersecurity offerings and IBM’s technology innovations. This individual will be responsible for providing leadership to execute on Defense and Intelligence security strategy, with direct responsibility for client and prospect engagement, selling, working active procurements, winning deals, representing IBM as a subject matter expert, providing oversight of the programmatic efforts for defense security programs. Along with established success in winning, solutioning and delivering with security programs, an important component is experience within Defense Industrial Base or Government Labs, with particular focus on national security requirements for government on-shoring efforts in the US and related supply chain concerns. Knowledge of government technology initiatives such as CHIPS and experience with securing the supply chain of Critical Infrastructure (CI) Ecosystems is important for the successful candidate. Directly building and executing the growth plan. (20%) Coordinating and cooperating closely with IBM specialists in Research and Systems. (10%) Supporting the Executive team in planning, developing and deploying our engagement team in the DoD and related defense environment. (20%) Overseeing won programs to ensure the accomplishment of major milestones and effective implementation and deployment of planned outputs. Milestones and are often accomplished through effective partnering with the other Divisions of IBM and with suppliers and security partners. (25%) Supporting and coordinating efforts in analyzing external trends in technology and security to identify new security capability opportunities for IBM. (10%) Representing IBM to external stakeholders and audiences at the highest levels, including C-Suite executives, and agency leaders. (15%) *Must sit in the Washington Metropolitan Area (VA, MD, parts of PA and NY) Required Technical and Professional Expertise Significant business development experience running large Federal deal pursuits and delivery Cybersecurity expertise Certified in industry recognized areas for security, process and project management Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Customer relationship management skills, solid verbal and written communications skills Candidate must have the ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment Degree in Electrical Engineering
