Agronomy Warehouse and Inventory Manager

Description:


Manage a full service Agronomy Warehouse operation, including liquid plant nutritionals, seed, seed treatment products, crop protection products and liquid and dry chemical.

Other functions may include maintenance of equipment, operation of forklifts, loaders, operating delivery trucks, loading customers' vehicles with product, unloading of deliveries, monthly inventory counts and other duties as required.

Administrative duties will include, but not limited to, receiving, invoicing, transfers, inventory reporting and more.

Performs all job functions in a timely and accurate manner to increase customer satisfaction and maintain the reputation and profitability of the organization.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Starting Salary Range: Market related with the opportunity to increase with experience.

Job Classification: Full time with benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as 401K.

Requirements:


  • Oversee operational functions of the agronomy warehouse, loading, delivery of product and general maintanance.
  • Hold daily meetings with all employees and delegate and assign tasks on a daily basis.
  • Supervise location employees including training, coaching and performance appraisals.
  • Cooperate and coordinate with Sales Agronomists and Location Managers.
  • Maintain facility and equipment, keeping it clean and in safe working condition.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support increase sales to customers.
  • Observe and enforced all organization policies and safety requirements.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Agronomy Division Manager and Sales Agronomists to monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image and culture in all aspects of the operations and appearance of the facility.
  • Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations
  • Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership and accountability in his/her work.
  • Keep the Agronomy Division Manager informed of operational, customer, vendors or employee issues that may arise.
  • Work with the Agronomy Division Manager and Sales Agronomists to establish strategic marketing plans in order to achieve company objectives for the Agronomy Division.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory and availability of product on hand for sale.
