The US Consumer Sales team is seeking an experienced sales professional, with a passion for technology and innovation to lead efforts to grow the Beats and Apple-branded Accessories category with our US Consumer Resellers. The team is focused on rapidly growing this business and engages directly with Apple’s largest resellers and carriers to build deeper partnerships, accelerate sell-thru, and ensure Apple customers have access to the essential branded accessories to unlock the value of hero devices. This role works closely with demand planning, merchandising, operations, finance, legal, and the marketing organization to define a comprehensive strategy, design unique offers and incentive programs, develop essential channel assets, manage supply availability, and ensure a successful new product introduction.

Key Qualifications

  • Performance-proven sales background, including 10+ years of sales or account management experience
  • 7+ years of reseller sales management experience
  • Validated experience in retail sales, especially as a merchant. Strong understanding of merchandising strategies and assortment planning
  • Specific areas of expertise should include: new business development, strategic planning, tactical execution, virtual team building, account development, forecasting, presentations, business solutions, multi-task management, and administrative planning & organization
  • A collaborative and inclusive engagement style that delivers superior outcomes, regardless of the status quo or perceived boundaries
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
  • Proficient with Keynote

Description

The Account Manager reports to the US Consumer Sales Leader and is responsible for selling Beats and Apple-branded audio to US resellers from pitch to close including defining the individual account strategy; providing assortment, placement, and consumer offer recommendations; negotiating commercial terms; and navigating cross-functional teams to achieve timely and successful launch of new programs. You will achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and other KPI’s; maintain excellent business relationships and partner with internal teams to form a productive alliance to achieve mutual strategic outcomes. In partnership with the worldwide team, finance, and other cross-functional teams, develop strategic plans and tactical activities with new routes-to-market that will result in the successful launch of the retailer’s Beats and Accessories business. - Coordinate the drafting of legal agreements and negotiate commercial terms - Deep knowledge of competitors' activities, retailers' account history and emerging partner and market trends while understanding how to capitalize on those opportunities - Design, recommend, and negotiate assortments of key SKUs - Manage a pipeline of multiple products - Articulate compelling placement and merchandising strategies - Develop demand generation strategies - Coordinate with reseller operations and supply-demand management to ensure timely inventory for launch - Prepare presentations and analyses to support sales initiatives - Keynote and Excel proficiency is required - Track progress and provide regular reports to management - Perform other tasks including meeting scheduling and management, sales and inventory reporting, demand generation, and documentation
