JOB TITLE: BI Developer / Business & Cost Analyst
REPORTS TO: Group Finance Manager
LOCATION: Westmead, Kent ME20 6XJ
THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION ON A MONTHLY ROLLING CONTRACT BASIS
SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced BI Developer / Business & Cost Analyst to join us on a temporary rolling monthly contract. Primarily, the role will be responsible to work on a project to design, build and implement BI dashboards, but also to support the team in the day- to- day reporting and analysis of our data including keeping Management up to date with sales margin reports and updating our product costing sheets.
Ideally from a manufacturing background, the ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of BI software, CRM, ERP & MRP packages. The position will work across all businesses in the Pineapple Group so previous experience of a multi-territory/currency environment would be very beneficial.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential responsibilities but not limited to:
- Designing, building and implementing BI dashboards to replace manual reporting for sales figures, KPI’s, quotes, transactions.
- Creating visualisations and reports using Phocas BI software (full system training provided)
- Supporting in running regular and adhoc reports using our CRM, MRP systems and associated reporting tool kits – gathering data from multiple sources to generate the reports
- Key focus on Sales Margin reports to provide product based costing information for the Sales Team & Management
- Using the data to generate reports and analytics to drive business outcomes and improvements
- Alongside the other members of the Systems team ensuring best practices in data management are adhered to and hi-lighting any areas of concern with the integrity of the data
Requirements
Required Experience:
- Experience of using Phocas software (ideal, not essential) or other BI software
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in business, financial or performance reporting and cost analysis
- Previous responsibility to manage reporting that directly impacts financial or risk areas in commercial and manufacturing environments
- Sound knowledge of CRM, ERP and MRP packages
- A good understanding of a database structure and linking interfaces
- Trouble-shooting incorrect data entry to ensure reports are as accurate as possible
- Excellent skills in using reporting tool kits
- Excellent at interpreting numerical data and presenting it in user-friendly ways, including dashboards
- Highly proficient in Excel (Intermediate/Advanced User)
