Lambeth Council as declared a climate emergency and committed to achieving net zero emissions on its own estate by 2030. The council has recently published a Climate Action Plan, setting out how it will work with partners across the borough to enable the whole of Lambeth to become net zero compatible and climate resilient by 2030.
Are you passionate about tackling the climate emergency, and do you have some experience working on energy, emissions reporting or climate policy? Would you like to work on projects that improve residents' quality of life and tackle the cost-of-living crisis, while reducing emissions? Are you confident analysing data and tracking the council's progress against its emissions targets? If so, this post could be for you.
The ideal candidate will have a background in air quality, climate change or sustainability work, though this is not essential, and candidate that can demonstrate willingness and ability to get up to speed will be considered.
