Your role at Ausgrid
The Climate Resilience Project Engineer role will support the overall climate resilience strategy development and implementation. You will provide engineering and technical support to the overall resilience team. This role will see you facilitate technical requirements of the upcoming regulatory proposal, and will lead climate resilience projects such as trialling new innovative infrastructure and updating our climate impact assessment work.
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will hold degree level qualifications in Engineering (or relevant discipline) who has superior knowledge and ability to identify and critically analyse technical/financial aspects of customer preference, asset and network performance.
You will have demonstratable understanding of emerging technologies including distributed energy resources and electric vehicles with technical understanding of existing network assets, along with related benefits and risks.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic approaches to issues which require technical and commercial knowledge
- Sound project management and time management skills
- Ability to facilitate working groups of subject specialists.
- Recognised negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to learn quickly and develop new knowledge and skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both as part of a team and independently
- Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive or personal matters
- Established interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Highly evident communication skills both written and oral with a customer focus for service delivery
