He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Digital Auckland is a concept that has been inspired by international best practise and extensive customer insight which highlights the opportunity to enhance the Tāmaki Makaurau visitor experience and better support the visitor economy.
We are looking for a Digital Product Manager to join the Marketing and Communications team. This is a strategic leadership role that exists to enhance the visitor experience for Aucklanders and visitors alike through the delivery of the Digital Auckland platform. Initially, the platform will offer relevant Tāmaki Makaurau destination content, integrated transport information, an itinerary engine and booking capability. You will be responsible for the roadmap of future features to meet customer needs and deliver business case outcomes.
In this role you will work in partnership with the wider marketing and communications team and the technical development team. Together you will develop and launch Digital Auckland, develop the platform’s brand in alignment with the Tāmaki Makaurau place brand and create marketing campaigns to promote the uptake of Digital Auckland and achieve other commercial outcomes.
He kōrero mōu: About you
You will have 7+ years product management experience including launching new products, building audiences, new feature development, establishing new revenue streams. You will also have:
- 5+ years strategic partnership experience with commercial partners, sponsors, media, agencies, content partners and industry.
- Proven ability to support creative teams to deliver campaigns effectively and efficiently for clients.
- Working in fast-paced environment with proven ability to drive change and deliver improved outcomes using a collaborative and pragmatic approach.
- Experience leading and influencing complex teams of technical experts, resolving conflicting views and developing a plan to take forward.
- Experience in strategic prioritorisation, capacity planning, process design and policy development.
- Strong written and oral communication skills. Able to lead and influence at all levels of the organisation. Write and present strategies, plans, board papers.
- Able to maintain focus on the product vision and customer needs while balancing competing demands from multiple sources.
