Location: Coburg State Office
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Contract
Hours Per Week: This full-time role will require you to work on a roster within the pharmacy operating hours, 7:30am – 9:00pm Monday to Thursday, and Saturday 9am – 5pm, with opportunity for clinical rotation.
Years of Experience: 2-5 Years Community or Hospital Experience
More About the Role
An exciting and unique opportunity presents itself for a Pharmacist to join our wonderful team, providing pharmacy services to correctional facilities in Victoria.
This role will cover dispensary pharmacist duties with on-the-job training provided for the successful applicant. Your experience in providing a high-level pharmacy service, accurate dispensing and efficient medication management is critical to this role. Please note, this role may require visiting prison to perform clinical role, employment is subject to clearance to prison.
This is a great opportunity to develop hospital pharmacy skills across a number of disciplines.

What You'll Be Doing
Dispense and supply medications in line with legal and professional requirements
Quality assurance of medication packing
Prepare medication profiles
Pharmacotherapy administration
Check dose administration aids
Assist with business and process improvement
What You’ll Need
Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist
Membership with a Professional Indemnity Insurance provider
A patient-centric mindset, with strong interpersonal skills and a positive can-do attitude
Excellent attention to detail
A desire to learn and thrive in a rapidly evolving industry
A vibrant personality and excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and collaborative team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Current Covid-19 vaccinations as per Public Health Orders
Previous experience with aged care or mental health is highly regarded
National Police Clearance with no criminal history
Previous experience with methadone will be an advantage, however training will be provided
