Software Dev Engineer
The team that brought you AWS DeepLens and AWS DeepRacer is looking for a software development engineer with experience in cloud software. In this role you will help lead a new AWS initiative that will involve solving the hardest engineering challenges while additionally keeping the customer (developer) experiences simple and fun.
In the larger scope of the role, you will own the design, development, testing and deployment of new products that span cloud and device-side software, along with hardware when applicable. You will draw from a deep and broad technical expertise to mentor engineers and work on complex technical issues. You will be responsible for delivering some of our most strategic technical projects, deliver large scalable systems, design new software systems at the cutting edge technology and have a significant bottom-line impact on our business and competitive position.
Specifically, you will:
· Propose, design, and implement industry-leading solutions for services that will be utilized by millions of clients across numerous countries.
· Work on the Cross Platform Technology to provide new features for Amazon customers
· Participate in and contribute to the planning process for new features and projects
· Work with a team of world-class engineers and product managers to understand and refine the scope of incoming projects, and to ensure deliverables meet an unreasonably high quality bar.
· Build highly maintainable, easy-to-understand code in both the web services and Android space.
· Mentor junior team members and assist in task management and Agile planning.
· Work with multiple top-notch engineering teams to understand and respond to their needs.
