Retail Undergraduate Program Intern
Job summary
The Retail Undergraduate Program (RUP) Internship is looking for ambitious, analytical, and customer-obsessed undergraduate rising seniors to help build a world-class shopping experience and serve as the leadership pipeline for our rapidly growing global businesses.
This 12-week internship program provides an ideal pathway to a dynamic career at Amazon. Retail Undergraduate Program Interns are placed in retail-focused roles (vendor management or instock management) and are assigned specialized projects that provide insight to the responsibilities of a full-time employee in this role and organization. Role placement is based on the needs of our North America Stores – such as Hardlines, Softlines, and Consumables – and Amazon Fresh businesses. In any of these roles, you will be a key player in developing and executing projects that drive business results of Amazon vendors, accounts, and product subcategories. Day-to-day tasks may include developing and growing vendor relationships, determining promotional strategy, inventory management, assisting with product launches, and conducting detailed analyses to identify growth opportunities driving sales and margin improvements -among other initiatives.
All Retail Undergraduate Program Intern hires will be given the choice of two start dates, one in late May and another in late June. In order to grow your Amazon network and learn more about what a full-time career in RUP could look like, you will have access to mentorship, training, and opportunities to connect with both your intern cohort and former RUP full-time cohort members. At the end of your internship, you will present your final project to your team and senior leadership. The members of this community are enthusiastic and able to help you grow professionally while encouraging you to work hard and have fun in this fast-paced and exciting environment. This is an ideal entry point to chart your own path at Amazon.
