Work Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join an energetic and collaborative team where you will be a key member of the Energy Operations team and have exposure to a diverse range of engineering matters ensuring the sustainability of our operations.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced, safety conscious Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Energy Operations - Solomon Power Station. It’s an excellent opportunity to join the team as we are in the phase of expanding our generation portfolio.
Solomon Power Station is in the process of construction and commissioning of 15 medium speed gas gensets from Rolls-Royce's Bergen Engines, in conjunction with the current operational Power Station consisting of 2x LM6000PF and 4x Solar Titan 130 Gas Turbine Engines and their associated balance of plant.
Reporting to the Superintendent Energy Operations - You will lead a technically disciplined team and demonstrate an ability to deliver against a wide variety of Electrical activities which is essential to our teams success.

The role responsibilities include:
- Supervise and direct your team to execute the daily schedule, performing frequent field leadership activities with the infield team.
- Work with the Power Station Superintendent and Planners to ensure all maintenance activities are resourced appropriately and executed in accordance with the maintenance strategy.
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner, weekly plans are adhered and that daily tasks do not affect the supply of power to the High Voltage Network
- Record all field leaderships and identified hazards into the business management system and provide feedback to the team on a daily basis.
- Manage onsite contractors and to ensure compliance with FMG and Industry standards.
- Compliance to SAP maintenance strategies, plan work and avoid reactive maintenance
About you:
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A proactive approach and a strong commitment to maintaining our safe working culture
- Experience and confidence in delivering against your Electrical trade
- Electrical trade qualification
- Cert IV in Instrumentation with relevant experience
- Hazardous areas training and qualifications with experience
- High Voltage Switching Certificate with experience
- A current "C Class" WA Manual Driver’s License
- Experience working in the power generation industry
- Experience and an understanding of the Work Management Processes & Practices.
- Experience in Electrical Supervision role responsibilities
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- High Risk Work Licenses in LF,WP,RG
- “HR Class” WA Driver’s License
- Type B Gas Appliance, Supervising or Supervised Gas Fitter
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
