Your Role and Responsibilities
This position is for a hardware developer responsible for architecting and developing integrated IT hardware infrastructure for Public Cloud. The individual will work on a small team focused on developing and qualifying integrated hardware solutions to support IaaS.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3D CAD design and drafting experience. Knowledgeable in typical mechanical component fabrication processes. Candidate needs to be very detail oriented with excellent documentation and communication skills. Candidate must be comfortable with hands on local hardware development (i.e. physical modeling, serviceability reviews, and thermal qualification). Candidate must also be capable of directing remote hardware deployment activities at datacenters worldwide.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Catia V5, JIRA, , familiarity with server hardware design including processors, memory, storage, and I/O, familiarity with physical network design, familiarity with typical datacenter power and cooling infrastructure and datacenter energy efficiency. Experience with mechanical and thermal analysis tools (i.e. Ansys, 6 sigma, etc…). The preferred skills are a plus and candidates are not expected to possess all of these. On The Job training will be provided for new skills necessary.
