The Learning & Development Department is committed to providing high-quality training and support to the warehouse. As an L&D Area Manager, you will be supporting the Operations team and the L&D Specialist by assisting in the facilitation of training in the warehouse distribution center. You will help conduct process audits and lead the re-training process for associates. You will partner with management to ensure that safety practices are always being upheld, quality standards are consistently being met, and every team member receives support to meet production rates daily. You will also play a vital role in assisting with the onboarding of new hires to give them the best employee experience.
What You'll Do

  • Assists in the new hire orientation process and champions company history, culture, and expectations.
  • Monitors training and retraining of warehouse associates and tracks metrics to evaluate training efficacy.
  • Builds relationships with leaders and external/internal teams to understand training needs and develop appropriate training material.
  • Help create virtual and in-person training using multiple resources (Powerpoint Presentations, Excel, Word).
  • Develops associates through high-quality training initiatives and classroom-style courses.
  • Assists in Safety Walks to report any unsafe conditions or actions to Maintenance and Management teams to correct safety issues.
  • Brainstorm new ideas to help elevate the current training model and curriculum.

Who You Are

  • Strong interpersonal skills that represent the cultural skills of The Black Tux.
  • Experience with delivering presentation decks to 10+ people at a time.
  • Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to speak with multiple audiences.
  • Organizational skills to undertake multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Reasonable judgment to identify and make recommendations to resolve issues.
  • Experience in a leadership position or in a similar role.
  • General knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Must be proficient in Google Suite/Microsoft Office applications
  • Bilingual/Fluent in Spanish
