We are searching for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our packaging team in Holbrook. As a member of the Plant leadership team, the Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for warehouse operations, working cross functionally, building team capabilities and promoting a high performance culture. This is a great opportunity that offers future career growth within our Supply Chain, Distribution, and Integrated Planning functions.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements
- Directly managing a team of supervisors across three shifts
- Planning production, short/long term capacity, and forecast inventory in order to achieve targeted fill rates
- Coordinating schedules with component suppliers, brand managers and procurement
- Liaising with Merchandising, Planning and Inventory, QA, Logistics, and Procurement, to develop/adjust required inputs for detailed production planning
- Understanding future capacity/supply constraints (manufacturing, raw materials, packaging) affecting production by engaging stakeholders throughout the planning process, and lead the development of recovery plans
- Organizing workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Ensuring output meets quality standards
- Enforcing health and safety precautions
- 5+ years of experience in a high-speed consumer goods environment, i.e. pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food/beverage, cosmetics, leading large production teams across multiple shifts
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Military experience a plus
- Strong production planning background
- Experience working within a cGMP facility
- Understanding of quality systems and health & safety regulations
- Experience in reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Demonstrated ability to build a high performing culture (HPS) and to build organization capability; teamwork based system experience a strong plus
- A focus on the personal growth and development of team members via coaching methods
- Strong continuous improvement process experience and working knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Lean Manufacturing and the ability to utilize these tools to create and operate a high performing organization
- Strong problem solving capabilities and strategic thinking
- Solid organization, communication and collaboration skills
