As a Parts Warehouse and Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for leading a department, while monitoring purchasing trends, managing inventory, and working closely with the inventory control manager.
Responsibilities
- Support the Parts Manager in leading the parts department and servicing retail and wholesale customers
- Accomplish objectives through proper purchasing procedures and inventory control
- Handle the parts inventory and track all expenses
- Work with the Service Manager to ensure parts are in stock or ordered in a timely manner, as needed for all scheduled repairs
- Handle stock order procedures
- Keep up-to-date on manufacturer warranty, policy and return procedures
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with the federal, state, and local regulations that affect operation
- Ensure that all employees follow their assigned work schedules and enforce the absenteeism and tardiness policy
- Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them
- Ensure that incoming inventory is stocked in the correct location
- Maintain a stabilized inventory consistent with the requirements of the defined areas
- Implement & carry out safety requirements
- Demonstrate behaviors within company’s values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work a flexible shift, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- 3 years of management and leadership experience in an industrial setting.
- Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates.
- Strong organization and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks.
- The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment.
- Ability to manage budgets; read and interpret P&L statements; and prepare related management reports.
- Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Excellent aptitude in estimating rates and adding and subtracting mentally while constantly multi-tasking.
- BS/BA Degree or Associates Degree with Equivalent Experience
- Six Sigma and/or 5S certification preferred
