National Pipe & Plastics is currently hiring for the following position:

Plant Electrician

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform facility repairs and wiring, installations, and modifications to insure proper operation.
• Perform electrical repairs along with running new service with little or no supervision.
• Assist in installation, set up and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance of all plant equipment and facilities, including diagnosing root cause of the problems, including lubrication and periodical servicing.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, air and fluid valves, solenoids, motors, starters, breakers, pumps, material flow, limit switches.

• Strong communications abilities needed to accurately document problems and solutions, generate parts requests, and explain solutions to production and other personnel.
• Operate mobile and hoisting equipment as necessary.
• Possesses a “get ahead” attitude to suggest permanent solutions to problems.
• Put forth the initiative to look for problems and resolve them as they are found.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing work demands.
• Knowledge of plastic extrusion processing a plus.
• Works with personnel of higher classification to obtain knowledge of plants mechanical and electrical distribution system including power requirements.
• Knows company rules and complies with them.
• Works in any phase of the plastic operation as needed.
• Fills out required departmental records

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have the following:

• Ability to read and write
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Must possess basic tools needed to perform the job.
• Ability to use all forms of hand tools and basic electrical tools to perform daily mechanical duties.
