Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in marketing, brand and/or retail category management, account management, partnership management, and/or business development.


Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or other advanced degree (or similar work experience).
  • Experience in payments, retail sales, gift card/prepaid segment, and/or digital content.
  • Experience with the mobile gaming industry and/or mobile app industry.
  • Experience communicating and presenting/pitching externally, leading negotiations and building relationships with excellent business acumen, and strong analytical skills.
  • Understanding of the payments and Fintech landscape.
  • Ability to speak and write in Spanish fluently.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.


As a Retail Partner Manager, you will cultivate and grow long-lasting relationships with our retail and payments partners, working to evolve and scale Google Play’s ever-growing suite of consumer payment offerings.

Our team provides meaningful solutions — from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

Responsibilities

  • Work with external partners and across Google Play and Google cross-functional teams, including Google Play Product, Payments, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Manage go-to-market and ongoing activation of all Google Play's forms of payment aligned with our team's mission.
  • Discuss, develop, and execute marketing plans, work with internal and external partners, and analyze data to inform and execute strategic plans.
  • Manage and grow the Google Play business at physical retail locations.
  • Manage partnerships with retailers in North America in regards to Google Play Gift Cards.
