Warehouse Office Associate

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Office Associate to join our team! This position is located on site, in our Bridgeport, CT location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Work closely with the Customer Service team and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure the order process is accurate and efficient
  • Prepare bills of lading and express mail labels including all shipping documents
  • Contact trucking companies to schedule pickups and call tags
  • Coordinate the loading of trucks upon arrival
  • Provide access and greet customers as they come to the Warehouse
  • Close all outgoing shipments including sales representatives and customer pickups
  • Keep the Warehouse Visitor Log current and up to date
  • Prepare daily shipping batches and match paperwork
  • Review Record Shipments and other system related errors
  • Coordinate the loading of truck shipments/customer pick-ups
  • Assist with shipping and receiving, unloading containers and other warehouse duties that may be assigned
  • Promote and support all company policies and procedures including safety
  • Provide freight quotes for Customer Service.

Skills/Abilities/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1-2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience with an ERP system
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as pick tickets, packing slips, orders, bills of lading, and procedure manuals
  • Computer Skills to include Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, WMS, and Enterprise Resource Management (ERP)
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to write routine correspondence
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Add, subtract multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including Saturdays
